Matellio aided a global provider of SaaS solutions in IoT, struggling with a slow, non-scalable and inefficient legacy fleet tracking system. We redesigned the existing architecture to deliver a robust, scalable, real-time vehicle tracking solution.

The Challenge
The SaaS solution provider’s primary objective of streamlining fleet tracking for its clients was hampered due to various gaps in its solution.
The problem with client satisfaction and increasing client attrition drew attention to the impending need for a solution upgrade. Multiple clients (especially larger businesses) were facing load time issues and problems with auditors due to the solution’s limited data pull capabilities.
They reached out to Matellio to resolve scalability issues, improve UI/UX workflows, and streamline the functioning of their solution.

The Solution
Matellio redesigned the application and built a new implementation from the ground up based on a modern technology stack, deploying DevOps to streamline the process and minimize development time.
The updated solution was designed to process data from thousands of vehicles, utilizing concurrent processing of millions of internal data parameters.
The overall enhancements improved load times and promoted improved user experience and usability.

The Outcome
The optimized application improved report performance with longer time durations optimizing auditor workflows, improved mapping performance to allow thousands of vehicles to be supported in real time making it more attractive to large enterprises and improved the onboarding experience for installers to reduce the number of steps required and integrate directly with the CRM system.
The implementation resulted in improved performance and real-time monitoring, leading to enhanced user satisfaction.
